Bidding Prayers – 28th July

Loving Lord, you are forever providing nourishment to us. You feed us when we are hungry, you console us when we are lost. Hear our prayers we bring before you.

We pray  to remind us to become more caring and compassionate, we need to slow down from the rush and worries of daily life by spending time in contemplation and prayer, to recharge our physical and spiritual energies.

We pray that the Summer Olympic Games in Paris promote harmony, peace and friendship in a world much in need. May the games inspire our young people to compete and utilise their sporting gifts.

As drastically increasing temperatures threaten the lives of the youngest and most vulnerable across the globe, we pray that action may be taken to limit the damage we are causing our common home.

As the school holidays begin, we pray that families come together to create happy magical filled moments. May they each recognise the love they have for one another and create bonds that last a lifetime.

We pray for all those that are suffering and burdened by pain and those that feel weary in body and mind. May they receive support, care and support to have a good quality of life and be restored and replenished by the Holy Spirit.

We pray for a moment for our own personal petitions…

Holy Father, thank you for providing us with hope in uncertain times. You are our constant companion. Thank you for always believing in us. Amen.
