Bidding Prayers – 22nd September

Heavenly Father, we place our trust and love in Jesus and by doing so, we firmly place our hearts in you. Hear our prayers we bring before you.

We pray to encourage young people to see life as a pilgrimage, a quest for happiness. Let us help our young people embrace life’s challenges with hope and perseverance.

We pray for the victims of floods in central and eastern Europe as intense flooding sweeps parts of Austria, Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic, killing at least 22 people.

We pray for the innocent civilians living in war torn countries. We pray that the international community will provide aid, create prospects and hope to civilians living in sombre and desperate situations.

As water levels in many of the rivers in the Amazon basin have reached their lowest on record amid a continuing drought, we pray that world leaders do all they can to halt deforestation and make climate change a priority.

We pray for all those burdened with worry and stress. May the Holy Spirit soak up their concerns and bestow peace and clarity to their hearts and minds.

We pray for a moment for our own personal petitions…

Loving Lord, we give forever thanks for your presence in our lives. Help us to build communities of hope with those around us. Amen.
