Lord, you are the light that guides, protects and nurtures us. We give forever thanks for your great glory. Hear our prayers we bring before you.
We pray for Pope Francis and his ongoing recovery.
This Lent, we pray for those that are suffering, those that are grieving and those who are poor in spirit. Help them to find you in their own personal darkness, let your light pour through them.
We pray for children who are struggling at school in all manner of ways, be that through bullying, lack of friendship, struggling with attainment. Help them to seek guidance and support and to realise and reach their true potential.
We pray for those entering a new chapter of life, be that a new job, retirement, marriage, house move, new baby or empty nest. May this new period of life bring an abundance of happiness and fulfilment, may the Holy Spirit bless each new endeavour.
We pray for countries around the world that are enduring ongoing war and violence. We remember those that have lost their lives, those that have lost loved ones, friends and comrades, those that have lost their homes, livelihoods and communities. We pray for peace in our troubled world.
We pray for a moment for our own personal petitions…
Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of thy Son,
Jesus Christ. Amen.
