Jesus is our high priest who has gone through to the highest heaven but not before experiencing the depth of human suffering. Let us be confident, then, in approaching the throne of grace, that we shall have mercy from him and find grace when we are in need of help.
We pray for all priests – we ask that, like Jesus, they understand that they are not here to be served but to serve.
We pray for our political leaders. We ask that they are able to recognise the very real effect their decisions have on people and that they might do all they can to improve the lives of others.
We pray for those who are struggling to afford necessities like food, fuel and power. We ask that where they are pointed in the direction of people and organisations who are able to help them
We pray for those that are homeless, with no shelter or place to lay their head. May the Holy Spirit provide them shelter, security and hope to rebuild their lives.
We pray for those feeling afraid and worried about their safety. May they seek protection and solace through their friendships and professional support.Heavenly King, guide us to witness seeing you in all we do as we help to bring your spirit to the world. Amen
