Lord God, you called us to come to you and to share your life and heavenly home. Today we come to you with our prayers, confident of your love, knowing your care for each of us.
We pray for all those who lead the Church during troubled times: may they lead with insight, wisdom and compassion, bringing hope to those who feel vulnerable and afraid for the future.
We pray for the people and Government of the United States of America: may they come together in peace and reconciliation following the recent elections.
We pray for those who are involved in the Brexit negotiations: may their deliberations and decisions bring the greatest good to the greatest number of people.
We pray for everybody involved in the fight against Covid-19:may scientific discoveries and resources be shared with all peoples, especially with those who are poor, disadvantaged and struggling to provide food, education and security for themselves and their families.
We pray for anybody facing job insecurity and possible unemployment as a direct result of this second lockdown: may they find the support and encouragement they need in order to face the future with hope.
During this month, as we particularly remember those who have died, we also pray for everyone suffering the pain of bereavement: may they be comforted and may those who have died enjoy the fullness of eternal life.
Lord God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we give you ourselves. Be with us in all that we say, think and do so that our lives might reflect your unlimited love. Amen.
