Loving Lord, you appeared to your frightened, grieving disciples with a greeting of peace. You were amazing! Today, confident of your love, we come to you with our prayers, our hopes and our dreams.
We pray for our world to remember “the least, the last and the lost”. May these words be heard by people who can follow this example in caring for those whom society overlooks or rejects.
We pray for the Queen and Royal Family as they mourn the death of Prince Philip. May the joy of the resurrection comfort and support them at this time. May the Duke of Edinburgh be enjoying the fullness of eternal life.
We pray for people whose businesses are starting to reopen after the lockdown. May they and their customers stay safe and find hope in their renewed freedom.
We pray for decision-makers who must lead the way as the country emerges from lockdown. May their assessments and guidance be governed by wisdom and compassion.
We pray for families who are reuniting after months of separation. May their togetherness fill them with happiness and peace.
Lord God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, be with us and with everyone whom we know and love. Amen
