We pray for all religious leaders in their efforts to pass on your message of life and love. May your words be heard through theirs and bring hope to our fragile world.
We pray for all those who are working in local, national and international governance. May they strive to serve and not to be served. Give courage to those who face opposition for standing up for what is right.
We pray for peacemakers and for peace. May there be openness and listening, dialogue and the willingness to make compromises in the cause of compassion and understanding.
We pray for the many young people who have just received their exam results and are making important decisions about their future path in life. May they have good guidance, wise mentors and the courage they might need to make the right choices.
We pray for families during the summer holidays. May they grow closer to each other in love and understanding through their increased time of being together.
We pray for farmers and growers at this crucial time of year. May they have the good weather and the resources that they need to produce a good harvest.
Lord of life and hope, be with us in all that we say, think and do. Lord of our life, be the Lord of our love. Amen.
